Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 16 August 2026AI Calculator (the "App") is operated by Robin Titus ("we," "our," or "us"), who is the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Where this policy refers to a Data Controller, Responsible Party, or Data Fiduciary, it means us. You can reach us at any time at aiCalculatorApp@gmail.com.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not use the App.
1. Age Requirement
By using this application, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. This application is not intended for use by children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at aiCalculatorApp@gmail.com so we can remove it.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us:
- Questions and messages you type into the AI chatbot.
- Photographs and images you capture with your camera or select from your photo library in order to ask a question about them.
- Saved conversations — if you choose to save a conversation, we store the conversation's messages (including any images) in our database so you can reopen it later. Saved conversations remain associated with your account until you delete them or delete your account.
- Google account information — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store your Google account's name, email address, and profile photo (if available) in order to identify you and let you access your saved conversations across devices.
Information collected automatically:
- Device information — device type, operating system, and app version.
- Usage data — your interactions with the App, feature usage, and error logs.
- Advertising identifier — your device's Advertising ID, collected by Google AdMob to serve advertisements.
- An account identifier — assigned by Firebase Authentication (either an anonymous identifier, or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google) so that your credit balance, saved conversations, and history can be associated with your account.
Information related to purchases:
- If you purchase AI credits or a subscription, purchase and subscription status is processed and stored by RevenueCat and Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide the core service — generating answers to the math questions and images you submit.
- Store and let you reopen saved conversations, and identify you across devices if you sign in with Google.
- Maintain your credit balance, purchase status, and usage history.
- Serve advertisements within the App.
- Improve the App and analyze usage patterns.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the App.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each of which may collect information as described in its own privacy policy:
- OpenAI, L.L.C. — Processes the text and images you submit to the AI chatbot in order to generate responses. OpenAI acts as a data processor on our behalf. By default, OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy and its Data Processing Addendum.
- Google Firebase — Authentication (anonymous and Google sign-in), database storage, analytics, and cloud functions.
- Google Sign-In — If you choose to sign in with your Google account, Google shares your name, email, and profile photo with us to authenticate you. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics — Usage data analysis.
- Google AdMob — Serves advertisements in the App and collects your device's Advertising ID for this purpose. See Google's Advertising Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — Processes and validates in-app purchases and subscription status.
We encourage you to review these providers' privacy policies to understand how they handle your information.
5. Data Security
We implement security measures to protect your information:
- We collect only the data necessary to operate the App.
- Access to our cloud functions requires an authenticated token, and requests are rate-limited.
- Database access is restricted by server-side security rules so that you can only access your own data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain collected data only for as long as it is relevant for the purposes outlined in this policy. You may request deletion or anonymization of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 13), or by deleting your account directly in the App.
7. Your Rights, and Deleting Your Account
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. Region-specific rights are described in the sections below.
You can permanently delete your account and its associated data (saved conversations, credit history, transaction history, message feedback, and account/sign-in record) directly in the App: open the Account tab → Delete account → confirm. If you no longer have the app installed, see our Account Deletion page for how to request deletion without it. Deleting your account does not cancel any active Google Play subscription — see the Account Deletion page for how to cancel a subscription separately.
8. United States — California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, this section applies to you in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy.
Categories of personal information we collect: device and account identifiers (including an advertising identifier, and your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google), usage data (including your interactions with the App and your prompt and response history), and the content of the messages and images you submit to the AI chatbot, including any you choose to save.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
To exercise your rights to know, access, or delete your personal information, contact us (see Section 13).
9. India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP)

Lawful basis for processing: your consent, given by using the App and submitting information to it.
Purpose of processing: to provide the AI math tutoring and calculator service, including generating responses to your questions and, if you choose, storing your saved conversations.
As a Data Principal, you may contact us to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act, including access to, and correction or erasure of, your personal data.
10. South Africa — Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
For users in South Africa, we are the Responsible Party for personal information processed through this App (see Section 13 for our contact details).
Purpose and lawful basis: personal information — including the message and image content you submit to the chatbot and any conversations you save — is processed with your consent, for the purpose of providing the AI tutoring service.
Cross-border transfer: some personal information is transferred to OpenAI, L.L.C. on servers located in the United States, in order to generate AI responses.
You may contact us to exercise your rights of access, correction, or deletion of your personal information under POPIA.
11. European Union / United Kingdom — GDPR
If you are located in the EU or UK, we are the Data Controller for personal data processed through this App (see Section 13 for our contact details).
Lawful basis for processing: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Categories of data processed: account and device identifiers (including your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google), usage data, and the messages and images you submit to the AI chatbot, including any you choose to save.
International transfers: personal data is transferred to OpenAI, L.L.C. in the United States for AI processing, under OpenAI's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as its transfer mechanism.
Your rights: you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us (see Section 13) or delete your account directly in the App.
